The Exhaust Gas Temperature readout is used as an indication related to current engine temperature in degrees Celsius.

White colour corresponds to normal operating range.

Amber lines display maximum continuous EGT. Note that the EGT indication turns amber when the maximum continuous EGT has been exceeded.

The EGT Redline shows the maximum takeoff EGT limit. Red on the readouts themselves is used to show that maximum takeoff or start limit has been exceeded.

The EGT indicator will also show EGT Start Limit lines until the engines stabilises idle.

Impending hot starts are indicated by a blinking digital readout.

An amber ENG FAIL alert message is displayed over the EGT readouts when: ?

  • Engine is operating below sustainable idle (<50% N2) and
  • Engine Start Lever is in IDLE position

The alert remains until:

  • Engine recovers
  • Start Lever is moved to CUTOFF
  • Engine Fire Warning switch is pulled.
