Rejected Takeoff
Any malfunction prior to V1 requires an immediate reject.
When either the CA or the FO calls “reject” the left seat pilot will retard both power levers to ground idle, apply maximum breaking, and take control of the tiller. The right seat pilot will advice ATC and standby for instructions.
After a full stop, left seat pilot will set park brake, identify issue, and call for appropriate actions. Right seat pilot will declare an emergency or advice ATC of next actions

Considerations
If heavy braking was used, consult AFM for guidance on brake cooling.
